About Fluoropolymer Finishes

Kolbe’s aluminum-clad windows and doors are available in a range of high-performance exterior finishes designed for exceptional durability, chemical resistance, abrasion, corrosion protection, and long-term weathering performance. In addition to the standard palette, custom colors can be specified, as well as Anodized aluminum and Mica fluoropolymer finishes.

About Interior Stain

Kolbe products can be finished on the interior with a water-based, low-VOC stain. After staining, a clear coat is applied, the surface is sanded, and a second clear coat is applied. Custom colors may be requested as well.

About Extruded Aluminum Cladding

A durable exterior helps safeguard the beauty of windows and doors, and helps prevent damage during harsh weather. This product has durable cladding of 6063 extruded aluminum alloy that is press-fit onto the exterior of the wood. Accessory grooves are integral to the frame exterior, which allows for factory or job site installation of extruded aluminum casing, sill nosing, and other exterior trim.

About Multi-Slide Door Sills

Multi-slide doors have Dark Bronze anodized, continuous, full-width sills that incorporate a thermal break for energy efficiency. Track fillers are incorporated into the sills for a smooth threshold. Plus, the bottom of the door panels have rollers with polypropylene-sealed, precision bearing wheels which glide over 1/4" high, stainless steel roller caps. The sills can be set into the floor system for low profile use.

Notes

Units are limited to a maximum width of 24 feet. Installation with a sill pan is required (not provided by Kolbe). Interior flush sill nosing extensions are available.

About Pleated Retractable Screens

Sliding screens with polyester pleated insect mesh are available for various expansive window and door products.
